Site Blogging ….
Blogging – If you are new to blogging, think of a blog as your personal magazine / journal / diary / newsletter / scrapbook, even website for that’s what it is; to keep private, share with friends or share with the world.
How you use and/or set up your blog is open to your imagination but to offer you some help – for starters think of your blog as a magazine – you will generally have a contents list, perhaps an editorial, articles of interest, photos and because it’s internet, video.
When creating your blog you have an option to place any content on a ‘page‘ or in a ‘category‘.
Think of a ‘page‘ as static; the content you place on it will generally remain the same.
Think of a ‘category‘ as dynamic; content in a category will be added to or updated regularly.
You can have as many pages and categories as you wish on your blog.
When you first join FullChatter you are asked if you want a blog setting up automatically.
If you choose ‘yes’, it will be set up using the ‘Arclite’ Theme (how a blog looks) but from your Dashboard you can simply go to Appearance and Themes and then preview several different choices of Themes. Once you’ve decided which you like just click activate.
If you choose ‘no’, you can always set one up whenever you wish – Click on Members>MyBlogs>CreateABlog.
You can have as many FullChatter blogs as you wish. For example – one for your work/business; one for a particular hobby/interest; one for your biking etc;
Be as inventive as you can with your blogging – but to get started ………

Photo’s onto your blog – The largest size photo that the lightbox will crunch is 2.0mb, above that and it wont work. Around that size and it will be slow. The ones we use are typically about 0.4 to 0.8, they work great and if you check out ours, on the whole we think you’ll agree, they’re not bad.
Lightbox on your blog – Our apologies we have had some programming difficulties in trying to make sure all members blogs have the lightbox (image overlay for your snaps) automatically turned on. As of 26.1.10 this should happen for all new members. Current members – we think we have sorted it for you and switched your lightbox on individually (how many people can say that to you?), however if this is not the case please let us know.
