Huge level of available demo bikes and PowerParts options as new Duke arrives at UK KTM dealers

The 2012 KTM 690 Duke has arrived in the UK with 24 demo bikes available at dealers across the length and breadth of the UK.

Eighteen years since KTM launched the original Duke, the 2012 model is the most technically advanced road bike from the Austrian factory.

Boasting the most powerful production single cylinder engine, the new bike also features 90% different parts over its predecessor. Despite being more cost effective to own with better fuel economy and service intervals increased by 40%, the Duke now also includes ABS as standard and costs less than the outgoing model by £350.

But most of all, the 690cc single cylinder is one thing – a unique, all-round machine. With its legendary agility on twisty B-roads and its new, previously unknown versatility, it masters a balancing act that seemed lost to the world of modern motorcycles.

For those wanting to sample this truly original machine, demo rides can be booked in advance at 24 official KTM dealers in the UK.

A host of official KTM PowerParts are also available for the 690 Duke for those with an addiction for personalising machines, be it either the full-blown ‘Stunt’ look, including the Orange engine protection bars and full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system, or the ‘Touring’ options of luggage and comfort parts to allow riders to fully exploit the new bikes’ versatility over greater distances.
